NBA Season Preview: Southeast Division

Defending champion Dwayne Wade injury prone history is the Miami Heats Achilles heel. When Lebron James and Chris Bosh helped form the big three, the goal was to create a dynasty. An older slower paced offense will struggle to compete in the Eastern Conference.  Miami’s lineup on paper is talented enough to win their division.

John Wall has allowed the Washington Wizards to build around a future superstar. Building through the draft has turned Washington into a contender. Bradley Beal the shooting guard drafted third over all gives the Wizards another athletic playmaker.  D.C Is one year away from watching playoff basketball again.

The Atlanta Hawks are stuck between rebuilding and contending. Enough talent is assembled to clinch a playoff berth. The Hawks are capable of becoming the dark horse of the Eastern Conference. Atlanta fans will expect their team to, reach lofty expectations until the Hawks figure out which direction they’re headed in.

The Charlotte Bobcats have transformed into, one of the worst teams in sports under Michael Jordan’s ownership. Recent draft success proves the team is finally headed in the right direction. Incoming rookie Michael Kidd-Gilchrist gives Charlotte another star player. If the Bobcats can continue to build their team in the right direction, the will be a contender in a few years.

Orlando came away from the Dwight Howard drama with a depleted lineup. The Magic decided to turn down their best offer and avoid, sending Howard to Brooklyn. Magic fans will have to suffer through a, season similar to a post Lebron James season. The Orlando Magic’s front office needs to rebuild effectively.
