P.I.T.S League

Nightly Recap – May 28th

The second night of the season included an extremely close game and another display of a team hitting the “switch” to create separation. The second game featured two teams that were in the league last season although, a couple of missing pieces.

10 pm Game

1st Class took on Core last night in a battle between two of the new teams in the league. It was exciting to say the least, neither team was shy about putting shots up as both teams struggled to get stops. 1st Class featured a very balanced attack, Chris Davis stood out as he did a little of everything for his team to get the win. Davis got help from Melo as they both finished the game with 15 points. Their team was up by double digits early before the Core fought back to kill the deficit. The game got extremely tight down the stretch, Core couldn’t resist fouling and 1st Class made the most of their trips to the charity stripe, their top notch foul shooting is what got them the win, 71-69. The Core was led by Glenn, he had a game high 24 points while pulling down seven rebounds.

11 pm Game

Team P.IT.S and Hot Spaucho had a few memorable  games last season, it was a great way to start the season for both teams. Hot Spaucho got off to a great start, going up early and moving the ball well on offense. They also did a great job on the offensive glass, David had it going as he finished with 20 points. Hot Spaucho certainly could of used a normal game from Ro, while he did knock down a few shots, he struggled to find his shot from deep. Ro often got it going from beyond the arc last season and his team certainly could of used it. One player that didn’t have an issue connecting from three was Austin Freeman of Team P.I.T.S, he started knocking them down from NBA range before burying a few from the high school three point line. Team P.I.T.S pulled away late in the game due to Freeman and the other veterans on their roster, winning 69-56 to get their first win of the season.
