Sophomore forward Marc Loving has been removed from Ohio State’s Men’s basketball program for an unspecified amount of time, according to a statement from the University.
“Sophomore forward Marc Loving did not travel with the Ohio State men’s basketball team to Purdue. Loving has temporarily lost the privilege to wear the scarlet and gray,” the statement read.
There are no specifics beyond what statement declares, but more information should be released regarding Loving’s status in the future.
After a tough freshman campaign, Loving has emerged this season as a key piece in the Buckeye’s rotation. Through 22 games, Loving had been averaging 11.7 points and 3.9 rebounds per game, while shooting a blistering 53% from three.
Winners of their last 3 games, including a blowout of #17 Maryland, the Buckeyes will have to find production from the next man up.
