Top Remaining Players Entering Day 2

The whirlwind that was the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft has come and gone. Laremy Tunsil was hacked on twitter, and cost him millions of dollars. What a time to be alive. Overall, I think this draft was what last year was supposed to be. There was wheeling and dealing, and there were surprise picks galore. However, due to some of these surprise picks, there are quite a few prominent names still available entering the 2nd and 3rd rounds of the draft. Let’s take a look:

QB: Connor Cook, Michigan State
QB: Christian Hackenburg, Penn State
QB: Dak Prescott, Mississippi State
RB: Derrick Henry, Alabama
RB: Kenneth Dixon, Louisiana Tech
WR: Michael Thomas, Ohio State
WR: Leonte Carroo, Rutgers
WR: Braxton Miller, Ohio State
WR: Sterling Shepherd, Oklahoma
TE: Hunter Henry, Arkansas
OT: Le’Raven Clark, Texas Tech
OT: Jason Spriggs, Indiana
IOL: Nick Martin, Notre Dame
IOL” Cody Whitehair, Kansas State

DE: Noah Spence, Eastern Kentucky/Ohio State
DE: Kevin Dodd, Clemson
EDGE: Kamalei Correa, Boise State
EDGE: Emmanuel Ogbah, Oklahoma State
DT: Andrew Billings, Baylor
DT: A’Shawn Robinson, Alabama
DT: Jarran Reed, Alabama
DT: Chris Jones, Mississippi State
DT: Javon Hargrave, South Carolina State
DT: Jonathan Bullard, Florida
LB: Myles Jack, UCLA
LB: Kentrell Brothers, Missouri
LB: Su’a Cravens, USC
LB: Deion Jones, LSU
LB: Joshua Perry, Ohio State
LB: Raggie Ragland, Alabama
LB: Jaylon Smith, Notre Dame
CB: MacKensie Alexander, Clemson
CB: Xavien Howard, Baylor
CB: Will Redmond, Mississippi State
S: Vonn Bell, Ohio State
S: Sean Davis, Maryland
S: Kendall Fuller, Virginia Tech

As you can see, there’s still plenty of talent to be had here on Day 2 of the draft. It’s very defense heavy, nonetheless, it’ll be very interesting to see if Jaylon Smith gets picked on Friday, or where Myles Jack lands. I’d be shocked if he falls out of the top 40.
