Smith discusses the role for the bigs on this team
Jason Smith talked about the screen&roll game and how it impacts him playing with guards like Wall and Beal. He also talked about the team’s mentality this year and what’s expected out of the he and his fellow bigs.
Smith is one of several offseason additions to a somewhat new front court, especially in regards to the depth behind Gortat and Morris. While he doesn’t yet have three point range, Coach Brooks hinted at that being something Jason could eventually get to. As a pick and pop big, it’s another weapon for Washington on the offensive end and it’s clear that he understands the duties on the defensive end of the floor.
