Gamecocks take down Terps in early season matchup

In an early season test for both teams, South Carolina beat Maryland 63-54 Sunday in College Park. The Gamecocks were led by their freshman center Aliyah Boston and their senior floor general, Tyasha Harris. Boston dominated the paint on both ends with 14 points, seven rebounds, and five blocks. The Maryland Womens basketball team won it’s fourth Big Ten title Saturday, beating Illinois 71-62. It was Senior Day for the Terps lone Senior in Brianna Fraser.
