Maryland has had an issue with slow starts, that wasn’t an issue against the Northwestern Wildcats. The Terrapins used their stifling defense to race out to a 22-8 lead. Maryland opened their season, well their regular season campaigh with a 93-36 victory over visiting Coppin State. The Terps were led by Taylor Mikesell’s 18 points in this one,  three other players scored in double figures as well.
