A Very Inauspicious Day for Henrik Lundqvist

 

New York Rangers goalie  Henrik Lundqvist had a tough day on Sunday.  Brad Marchard and Milan Lucic scored in the 3rd period after Johnny Boychuck broke a 2-2 tie in the second.

Lundqvist gave up more than four goals for the first time in 152 games, and Boston beat New York 5-2 on Sunday to take a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinal series.

The Rangers played their best period of the series in the second as they out shot the Bruins 16-9.

Bruins never trailed in the game as rookie defenceman Torey Krug was the star of the game as he had a goal and a assist.

Tukka Rask had a sharp game in the net. He had 35 stops and finished with a save percentage of .929.

Rangers powerplay struggles continue they have scored just twice on 35 power plays throughout the entire playoffs. They are 0-for-7 against the Bruins for the series.

Game three is on Tuesday night as the series switches gears to Madison Square Garden in New York City.
