P.I.T.S League

Opening Night

It’s the start of a new season, tonight started off with a tribute to Jamar “Silent Assassin” Board, his family and his team “Rob’s Mob” came out to center court as a message from the league was read before tip-off. His former team changed it’s name from “Rob’s Mob” to “Jamar & Rob’s Mob” and the scoring award will now be named in honor of Jamar as well: “The Jamar Board Scoring Award”

Here’s what happened in tonight’s games:

Game 1

Jamar & Rob’s Mob vs Shooting Hoops

Shooting Hoops got out to fast start courtesy of a balanced attack and hot perimeter shooting, but the talent and experience of Jamar & Rob’s Mob was just too much. As the veteran team, Jamar & Rob’s Mob never panicked. They simply started to get stops on the defensive end and got to doing what they do best: score. Bobby Maze went’ nuts in the second half, finishing with 34 points as Jamar & Rob’s Mob beat Shooting Hoops 77-62

Podium Game: Bobby Maze & Antonio Haymond

Game 2

Made Men vs Team Crazywear

Made Men came out and set the tempo early, led by Juice(21 points) they looked as if they were ready to start this season off with a win. Team Crazywear started slow, but got increasingly comfortable as the game went on. Due to their veteran leadership, they grinded out a 10 point win with Terrance Carter leading the way with 19 points. Team Crazywear won 65-55.

Podium Game: Terrance Carter
