ACC: Week 2 Review

For the most part, ACC football teams were matched with cupcake teams in the second week of the college football season. As expected, there weren’t too many close match-ups, but there was one game that garnered national attention and was highly competitive. In the end, the ACC representative in that game showed up well and pulled off the win. Here is a recap of week two in the ACC:

Virginia Tech defeated Ohio State 35-21

• Ohio State is without quarterback Braxton Miller for the season, but they still came into this game favored over the unranked Virginia Tech Hokies. Despite being on the road in a hostile environment, Tech was able to pull off the upset victory over the top-10 ranked Buckeyes, thanks in large part to some great defensive plays, and some solid play from starting quarterback Michael Brewer. With the win, the Hokies should be primed to jump into the top 25, while the Buckeyes will most likely slide down in the polls.
