The Colts came stampeding into Foxboro looking for a gallop into Glendale at Super Bowl XLIX, but they ran into an army of Patriots that was going to defend their territory. With the General Bill Bellachick prepared with a steady gameplan; his commanding officer Tom Brady saw to it that the troops would not let up in their attack.
In somewhat of a repeat of the Divisional Playoff game from last season Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount went for 166 yards against the Colts. Sunday night against the Colts in the AFC Championship game Blount ran for 148 yards and 3 touchdowns against the Colts.
Unfortuantly for Andrew Luck it wasn’t just another game against a quarterbacking legend. Unlike against Denver; Tom Brady had some help. Luck threw for 126 yards off of 12 of 33 passes with 2 interceptions. Not a winning formula for a championship game. We have to take our lumps sometimes.
Well what can you say about Tom, lucky for him he didn’t have to do much today with the running game so effective. But he did manage 226 yards passing with 3 touchdowns to stamp out the massacre New England put to the Colts 45-7. Goodbye Foxboro, hello Seattle. Meet you in Glendale at Super Bowl XLIX.
