Suh, Miami’s biggest catch

According to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, the number one overall player in the 2015 free agent class is off the market. The Dolphins appear to have won the Ndamukong Suh sweepstakes.  Mortensen says that the Dolphins will give Suh a six year, $114 million dollar deal come Tuesday at 4 pm Eastern.

While it has yet to be confirmed by any other beat writers or ‘insiders’, Mortensen feels strong about his sources.

Heading into free agency it was well known that Suh wanted to be the highest paid defensive player in the league. If he does in fact get that $60 million guaranteed, he will have eclipsed JJ Watt’s big deal by at least $7 million.

As Kelley indicated above, with Suh (possibly) off the market, those teams previously in the hunt will have to go to their contingency plans. It’ll be interesting to see what exactly those plans are.
